Brentwood Suites – Quezon City

What about a weekend staycation at this new hotel in Quezon City? And that was an instant plan with my buddies who seemed to be listless for the past weeks and needed some time to rejuvenate for their upcoming trips. Well, we had a weekend to catch up at Brentwood Suites in Quezon City – just two jeepney rides away from my place.

The plan was to catch up with my travel buddies that lazy Saturday. We all seemed burnt out from our day jobs and needed something to bring our energies back to traveling – a hotel staycation that is!

We entered the lush lobby of the hotel and were greeted by the front desk officer that immediately assisted us on our reservations. It was a swift one and we were ushered right away to our appointed rooms – Superior Room (check here for discounted room rates).

The room is equipped with two queen-sized beds, work table with lamp, sofa and a flat-screen cable T.V. There’s also a mini-bar, coffee and tea-making facilities, complimentary bottled water and complimentary (and reliable) WiFi connection which was just too perfect.

It has an en suite toilet and bathroom with modern fittings and toiletries are provided for. The rain-type showerhead with hot and cold options was very inviting.

I loved the vibe of our room. It was cozy, comfy and very homey. We tried working on with our writing backlogs but the fluffy pillows were just too tempting. We catnapped a bit and then planned our dinner/beer sessions that night.

Before we head out, we checked the other rooms and were overwhelmed with the theme of their Junior Suite. It has its own indoor lanai with very tropical feel to it. I immediately want an upgrade, or maybe next time.

We also checked out the hotel’s indoor gym and tried out some of the equipment. Surprisingly, we had so much fun sweating it out.

The gang boozed up all night until the early hours of dawn. We went into our rooms and snoozed effortlessly. And then the call.

It was 9:30ish when one of my buddies called up informing that the complimentary buffet breakfast will expire in thirty minutes. Still donned in our jammies, we dragged ourselves to Café Elements.

We rushed into this chic restaurant and filled my plate with dim sum, longganisa, tapa, danggit, salted eggs, and fried rice. Salads, soups, breads, cereals and fresh fruits dominated the plates of the others. And then we headed back to our rooms for yet another slumber session.

It was just a brief stay at Brentwood Suites but it perfectly tapped our inner spirits, that is, our travel spirits. It’s important to, once in a while, be still with the perfect company and just talk about the greatest thing that’s binding all of you. Do I need to say what’s keeping Team Red Horse together? Traveling! And beer maybe.
