Nirvana Garden Hotel – Kathmandu, Nepal

There’s a secret garden tucked somewhere along the busy district of Thamel in Kathmandu, Nepal; away from the crowd and hustle of this touristy area, the Nirvana Garden Hotel.

You’ve never been to Kathmandu if you haven’t experienced the busy district of Thamel (check for discounted tours in Kathmandu). Restaurants, souvenir shops, tour companies, currency exchange and novelty stores cover the streets. Staying in this area could bring so much convenience but having to bear with the noise and the crowd can be a problem. Nirvana Garden Hotel is an escape from it all but with its perfect location; one can enjoy the crazy, fun scenes at Thamel while conveniently located on a serene and quiet place.

We specifically chose this hotel on our last day in Kathmandu for the sole reason of its perfect location. A hundred meters away right in the heart of Thamel, it only took us a minute of stroll to get around the shops and restaurants.

Lush greeneries and fresh flowers welcomed us as we stepped inside Nirvana Garden Hotel’s premises. It was indeed a garden-hotel. The hotel has 60 rooms with the great view of the garden oasis (check rates).

We were immediately assisted by the front desk officer and within minutes, we were ushered to our Standard Double Room on the main building. Our room has the basic amenities of twin beds, TV set, en suite toilet and bathroom and a balcony with a nice view of the garden.

We also abused the complimentary WiFi from the hotel. They have services that will surely help all their guests such as; currency exchange facility, safety deposit lockers, luggage storage, childcare, house doctor on call, a business center with phone, fax and internet services and travel assistance.
