Cagayan Holiday and Leisure Resort

Right after our Palaui Island trip, the plan was to stay at Cagayan Holiday and Leisure Resort (check rates) or popularly known as Sun City in Tangatan, Sta. Ana. It was near the San Vicente port that it took us around 7 minutes to reach the resort. It's located in the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport or Cagayan Freeport.

We went straight to the front desk office and the first thing I noticed was how posh it was. It was so sleek and smelled fresh. We kinda hesitated to get inside because we stink big time. The next thing that caught my attention was the 2 Chinese national front desk officers. They were really speaking in their native language (Dra. Ivy, Cantonese ba yun o Mandarin? :) Only then I realized that most of their foreign guests were Taiwanese and Chinese nationals.

Oh by the way, the accommodation here is the villa-type. There are over a hundred villas; VIP, beachfront, grand and superior villas. We've decided to stay in their Superior one where we shelled out 7,500 pesos for a 3-bedroom villa. We were 6 in the group so it was the perfect villa for us. No breakfast or whatsoever but they gave us free casino credits which we didn't bother to use because we don't have any decent outfit to start with.

It was still raining at that time but we still opted for a golf cart ride to our place. The van by the way followed after us. We were assigned to Villa number 2016. We forgot how tired we were when we saw what's inside our villa. It's so sleek and neat. I never realized that Cagayan has this posh resort. There were 3 bedrooms, a living room, dining area and 2 bathrooms. I dunno how we assigned ourselves to which room we would stay in but it was me and Doni who were roommates.

We went out for a quick dinner and bought some booze outside the resort. You know what happened next :)

We had the best sleep (for two days) that night and with the chilly weather, we stayed in bed for as long as we want to. A really perfect place to stay in after our Palaui Island trip. 

The sun was still not in the mood to show up the next morning. Before checking out, we checked out the resort's facilities. We went to their infinity pool and seaside area. Stayed there for quite sometime and left for our 3-hour travel to Tuguegarao city.

This concludes my Cagayan Valley series. 

We had fun in spite and despite of everything.
