Just three weeks ago we were so templed out in Bagan, Myanmar but even though we thought that we’ve seen enough, we squeezed in some temple visits on our Luang Prabang’s messed up itinerary which turned out pretty well.

Having the perfect location, our home in Luang Prabang (Le Vang Bua Villa), provided a good base camp. It was a 15-minute walk from the heritage city so we got to stay away from the touristy side of the town. The town is home to many ancient Buddhist temples some of which are elaborately adorned and some are modest and others have monasteries inside the complex. Here’s a rundown of the said visit;

We've been templed out many times during our two-month backpacking trip around Southeast Asia but this time we enjoyed the exploration by foot and with the use of free bikes courtesy of our hotel. Me thinking that with all the temples we've visited so far, only a few will leave an imprint.
