Bohol Beach Club was the
home of PHILTOA’s delegation on the first day of the What’s
Up Bohol? event (familiarization tour on destination update on tourism
offerings of Bohol). I think everyone who’s been to Panglao Island and experienced its fine white sandy shores know this resort. Here’s my take on
our Bohol Beach Club experience.
I’ve been on this side
of Panglao Island in Barrio Bolod twice (stayed on the nearby
resorts) and adored the plush ambience of Bohol Beach Club (check rates) from walking on its
shoreline. So when I heard that our group will stay on this resort, I couldn’t be
much happier.
The resort has undergone an 8-month renovation and we were just in time for their re-opening. And true to their tagline, Bohol’s first is now Bohol’s newest, Bohol Beach Club has reinvented itself into a more appealing resort that is suitable and sensitive to the needs of the guests. One notable thing is the rooms that are suitable for the PWDs (persons with disability).
It was almost night-time
when the group arrived at the resort. Rooms and roommates were assigned and after a long day of exploring Bohol we all just wanna slouch and
laze into our beds. But not just yet.

Local folk dancers were
performing traditional dances as we were ushered to the resort’s shoreline for
a fun night. A cocktail party on the beach was already waiting for us. Starters
and canapés were everywhere. Fresh fruit shakes, beers and cocktails were
served. Everyone was on their party mood. Just the perfect way to
cap off our busy day.
Me and my roommate were
assigned to the Deluxe room. The double and queen-sized beds are perfect for
twin or triple sharing. The room is equipped with the basic amenities (en suite
toilet and bath, TV, dresser and safety vault).
The Deluxe Room |
Complimentary drinking
water and coffee/tea-making facilities are also provided for your convenience.
What I love most about our room is the veranda. I could spend some "me time" there or probably abuse their complimentary WiFi (which will only take 10 minutes, tops).
We also get to check out
one of their Beachview Suites which I really love. The villa has its own
balcony that has a nice view of the beach. The room has a separate living area.
The bed is, of course, very inviting. The warm tones of yellow illuminates the
whole room that makes you wanna just slumber all day.
The Beachview Suite |
The bathroom is
perfectly adorned with fresh flowers and I bet you wouldn’t be able to resist
the bath tub filled in with water and some rose petals showered over it. Makes you
wanna jump into it right away.
Soothing |
We had an early call
time and had to take our breakfast earlier than usual. This actually worked for us for we were able to witness the sunrise which, by the
way, is really nice on this side of Panglao. The breakfast spread has an assortment of local and continental favorites. Hashbrowns, sausages, breads,
omelette and some fresh fruits filled my breakfast plate. Everything was ok and the view while dining was perfect.
Almost everyone set off
to the beach right after breakfast and did their selfies. Me and
my buddies opted to just chill on one of the beach chairs scattered on the
shore. I could just imagine me finishing some few chapters of a very nice book
on one of these chairs or maybe the hammocks with coconut trees and the beach
as the backdrop – very tropical.

Overall, Bohol Beach
Club remains to be one of the best resorts in Bohol. The serenity and
exclusivity of this huge property are some of the reasons why guests are coming
back. And now I'm dreaming about the hammocks, the trees, the beach, the sunrise, the birds, and everything. Bring me to the beach. Now!
