My summer vacation ended without some chill time on the beach to say hi to my underwater friends. I missed snorkeling so much and I was thrilled upon learning that we’ll be staying at Bellevue Resort in Doljo, Panglao. I heard they have a nice snorkeling site there.
The second day of the familiarization tour of PHILTOA was spent at the town of Anda, Bohol. Some nice beachfront resorts and a trip to Lamanoc Island and we’re back to Panglao Island to spend our last night in Bellevue Resort (check rates).

Again, rooms were assigned the moment we got off from our bus and we’re given some time to freshen up before heading to Flujo Bar for some cocktails.
Flujo Bar is located at the ground level of the Bellevue Resort. It has this relax feel with laid back couches that’s perfect for some chitchat time with your friends. Canapés, starters, cocktails and beers were served. The open air bar was our refuge that night and anecdotes about the day’s trip were discussed while downing bottles of beer.
After a good four hours, and as if there’s a cue from somewhere, we all agreed to call it a day and went back to our rooms. I’m not the type of person who spends hours inside the bathroom, but the first thing I desired the moment I stepped inside my room was to experience the solace of the bathroom. I immediately had some shower and spent more time than the usual. I was tempted to fill the tub with water to have some bubble bath but was too lazy to do so and I ended up abusing the rainshower head instead. My worn-out body enjoyed the bath (if you could only hear me humming all throughout).
We had the Deluxe Room and cozy is the perfect description for it. From the use of earth tones to adorn the room to the comfy beds, everything is in harmony. The room has twin beds, TV, mini bar, complimentary drinking water and seasonal fruits, coffee/tea-making facilities, and en suite toilet and bath.
And then the veranda. I’m not sure but I think every room has its own veranda and ours was facing a garden. I spent a little more time there after my refreshing bath time. And then the bed hollered at me, I realized I haven’t checked it out yet. And as soon as I jumped into it (facedown), I was knocked out, literally.
The next morning was great. We didn’t have a call time so I have the loveliest sleep, no disruptions. And then I realized I should be ready for the breakfast buffet and the beach and the pool and everything.
The breakfast buffet spread is quite hefty. From local to continental favorites, I’m sure you’ll never miss your breakfast nook at home. Me and my buddy got loads of bacons and asked them to make it crispier, and they obliged. I also had pancakes, some fresh fruits and other stuff. But our happy bacon was the star of the breakfast table.
Happy bacons! |
We immediately went into the sea with our snorkels on and explored what’s waiting for us there. After swimming a good hundred meters, we reached the site we’re looking for. Coral gardens, Nemo and his friends, some starfish and fishes I can’t identify dominated the whole hour. I didn’t wanna leave but after seeing a huge jellyfish I retreated to the shore. I suddenly realized how I miss my underwater friends and my underwater camera which died last year.
The 12 ft. area. |
A chill time at the infinity pool followed after. Me and my buddy enjoyed the pool for some time and discovered the 12 ft. area on the farther end (which they probably use for introductory diving), and then happiness. We leaped and jumped a few times to reach the bottom part of the pool but didn’t even come close to touching it.
We get to tour around the hotel later on. The most notable part for me was the Jacuzzi on the veranda facing the beach on the Suite room; pure opulence.
